Little Italy .... A veg Italian experience

Me and my colleagues were planning for a well deserved hangout since long time. As our lady companion is kinda fan of Italian cuisine, I suggested an authentic Italian restaurant, near our office. So on 30th Nov. 2017,we booked a table at 19:30. Now before we jump into main course of my review, let me caution you about something. Mostly we (Indians) don't book tables, unless mandatory to do so. However if you have booked a table with Little Italy and you receive an early notification for the same (for 19:30 booking I received SMS notification for 18:45), please don't panic. Its a glitch. Tree of life Theme  Now then so lets continue. As per my understanding Little Italy at Hitech City is owned & Managed by company, unlike Jubilee Hills branch. As you enter into the restaurant, you will feel the warmth of their hospitality and Staff overall is good. I am sure, however down you may be but ambiance and music lifts up your mood. I loved tree of life theme running throu...

Handling Dynamic Source Column - Using ODI

Hi ! ! !  I am an BI Lead by Profession. What I like about being part of IT industry is "bright side of the scariest part". Yes, you guessed it right, its job insecurity :) . Bright side to this part is eternal conquest for improvement. Thrill of overcoming a challenge cannot be put in words. In this post I am going to share something similar with readers. Other day, I was hanging out with my pack and one person came up with weird requirement that she faced as an Interview question. I came up with a solution to her problem, sharing the same with you.  Do let know if you liked it or if you have some suggestions to enhance the same or in case you have some queries that I should answer. Hope you like it. Assumptions: I expect readers of this post are already aware of SQL & ODI environment and know how to create topology connections for the same. I expect we are using Oracle Database for exercise. Disclaimer: Source system type columns name and subject area of...

In Pursuit of Happiness? .... just be a child

If I ask you to be a child again, would you be able to do it. I know everyone wants to become a child again but is it so simple to rewind conscious state of mind? All this started on a pleasant Sunday afternoon, my child was playing in porch and I was sitting aloof and enjoying view of 100% unadulterated innocent happiness on face of my child, when I thought aren’t these best years of life?  So normal, right! But then I realized something which created paradigm shift in me. Everything happens for a reason. So if there are children in this world, it’s for a reason. As a child we start our life, it must be for a reason. We can notice pure joy and happiness in all children that must be for some reason. So I fell into a loop of thoughts and reached to what I am going to share as part of this post.  Nature / Creator / God / Almighty / Supreme / Science whoever we believe create children, might have created all species directly with adulthood instead of starting as a child, as a...

Planning "The Martian" way....

Today 7-Oct-2015, me and six of my colleagues watched the Martian. When we booked tickets, I thought what might be so special about this movie. It must be just another Sci-Fi movie. However just within mere three hours my view about the same changed to exact opposite. Martian is based on a novel by Andy Weir. Story revolves around efforts of an astronaut "Mark Watney" to stay alive on MARS. Story of movie is pretty simple however the way it has been presented is awesome. What I have personally learnt from the movie is One of the most important quality of a leader is to stay calm in any situation and think out all possible options, choose best practical option keeping in mind calculated risk and reach to a firm decision within minimum time.  Another thing to learn is what Mark Watney explains his students at the closing scene of movie "No one will support you out there and you will have many problems however you need to solve one problem and then the another...

Are you literate ? ? ?

Information Technology (IT) has blosommed in India in past decade or so. As being part of IT, my life usually get churned out in late working hours to meet the deadlines (and avoiding myself being dead), sometimes working weekends (with my wife shouting on me for having no personal life). However IT is not all about burning out at both ends but it also has few (more towards fewest) advantages. One of the best advantage for me being a travel lover is that we (IT people) get to travel round the world, domestic or international whichever it may be, we get to live in posh hotels and enjoy various cultures and foods and drinks.....Yummy.  I am writing this blog entry during one of my such visit to airport waiting lobbies. A burning query has inspired me to write this entry and I hope reader will appreciate the thought. I will be more than happy, if even one of my reader change (positively off course) after reading this entry. So lets get our story rolling . . . . . ....

GOD’s existence and Human

We humans have very delicate emotions. When something goes in our favor we say “Thank God” while when something goes against our wish, statement changes drastically to “God,Why Me?”. So today I am sharing my thoughts & opinions on existence of GOD/ultimate creator/energy & relation/impact on Human. Being in IT, we are usually discussing & sometimes fighting over various topics ranging from big bang to boomrang(:p), innocence to corruption. (these discussions catch fire when we have idle minds for obvious reasons). I gathered thoughts to write today’s article from my colleagues. Thanks to them. One fine evening, one of my agnostic colleague with less or no work asked another religious colleague, “Does god exists?” and then in that moment itself, I knew that this discussion was going to be ...yes, wait for it ...leeeegendaaarrrrry. Two cubicle split into two groups, people facing each other  as if two countries are facing each other with arms, ready to fight. ...

FMA . . . . Truth of Life

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is not just an anime, its much more. Series reveals truth of life. Story is about journey of Elric brothers(Edward & Alphonse) to regain their true bodies using something called Philosopher's stone. Story is written in way that if persuaded properly teaches us very important life lesson.                                                  All is one, one is all . . . . . Story begins with meeting of Van Hohenheim, a slave in land of Xerxes with shadow-like creature known as Homunculus created of his own blood. During their interactions it is revealed that Homunculus was created out of desire of king to obtain immortality. This shows greedy nature of human. Humans have this unfulfilled thirst of desire also called as greed to obtain something that they don't have. Homunculus It many of the times give birth to problems,...

Waiting for Love . . . . .

Whole my life I have wondered about this world, about its creation. Almost everything happen around us is like miracle. Since my childhood I have interest in various civilizations and cultures. Each is so unique and different than other. Eastern end to western end, we can see variations of cultures. Somewhere in East and Central parts, people hug each other as token of respect and brotherhood. In some other part if two men hug each other in public people think they are together. However I am truly amazed to see that one thing is constant across this globe "LOVE". Love speaks without language. From east to west, from North to south, animal to human everyone understands love. Isn't it; just as that song says "Love is not an easy thing, the only baggage that you can bring? It’s all that you can’t leave behind". I came to know a beautiful love story of an Irish couple that I would like to share today. Over the lunch, I don’t remember how talk starte...

Thanks for smoking . . . . . . definitely not to promote smoking

Thanks for smoking . . . . . . definitely not to promote smoking Thank You For Smoking is the comedy from 2006 aimed at people who like to flex their brain muscles, as it tackles taboo subjects ranging from Tobacco campaigning to journalistic mudslinging. It also defines how in this extreme competing world, mortgage(/EMI/Liabilities) have become our virtual boss and for these bosses, how we fall to any level to earn some credit. Aaron Eckhart delivers his best performance proving that he can play the smarmiest of bastards while still somehow keeping his cool. Thank You For Smoking, based on Christopher Buckley’s acclaimed novel. The story is about Nick Naylor (Eckhart), the Chief Spokesman for Big Tobacco. While ads and protestors spread the word that cigarettes are bad, his job is to offer the counter stance. He knows very well that cigarettes cause damage and death, but he has a knack for winning debates by picking away at other people’s arguments. As he tells his young son Joe...

Harishchandrachi Factory

My this blog entry especially goes for non Marathi viewers, as most of Marathi viewers must have already seen this movie. This is one of the finest Marathi movies I have seen.Movies like these are very rare to find. Cinematography of movie is excellent. Movie demonstrates high and lows of life of our protagonist Dadasaheb Phalke. Nandu Madhav and Vibhawari Deshapande have done a great job as Mr and Mrs Phalke. How he was devoted to his interest in Filmography. How he sacrificed his everything to chase his interest.  How his wife and children supported him in his journey.Best of the movie is that, it shows all type of emotions joy and sorrows but don't let viewers lose their interest.Even tragic events are treated with light humor but at the same time, the makers are not making fun of the topic.. Harishchandrachi Factory traces Phalke's journey to making his first film, and the hardships he faced while doing it.Some of the scenes are brilliantly directed & very sm...

Thought Diaries . . . . . .Life is a Mosaic

This weekend, we were in search for peace of mind and my friend asked me, why life always play with us like toys?                             We as humans, walk various paths in our life. We are like an artist in the epic drama of life. During our journey we hear many opinions about life, "LIFE is Tragedy", "LIFE is Frustrating", "LIFE is Exciting", "LIFE is Mystery", "LIFE is puzzle". Everyone reviews life as per his role. Somewhere people strive to stick together while families opposing them. In some other case families want couple to stick together, however couple want break up.There are many who follows "NO MONEY ! NO HONEY !!" principle. There is yet another group of few who build wonders sacrificing most of their wealth in memories of their love.                    As per roles I have portrayed here & as per those which I have observe...
