My this blog entry especially goes for non Marathi viewers, as most of Marathi viewers must have already seen this movie. This is one of the finest Marathi movies I have seen.Movies like these are very rare to find. Cinematography of movie is excellent. Movie demonstrates high and lows of life of our protagonist Dadasaheb Phalke.
Nandu Madhav and Vibhawari Deshapande have done a great job as Mr and Mrs Phalke.
How he was devoted to his interest in Filmography. How he sacrificed his everything to chase his interest. How his wife and children supported him in his journey.Best of the movie is that, it shows all type of emotions joy and sorrows but don't let viewers lose their interest.Even tragic events are treated with light humor but at the same time, the makers are not making fun of the topic..
Harishchandrachi Factory traces Phalke's journey to making his first film, and the hardships he faced while doing it.Some of the scenes are brilliantly directed & very smoothly captured like scenes where Phalke tests his camera by planting a sapling and waiting for it to grow. There is another scene where his son gets injured on the sets but Phalke does not stop shooting. Later, he feels very guilty for not taking care of his son.
Also small scenes in movie make all together different impact on viewer. Like in the opening scene of movie itself, a British police speaks Sanskrit shlok. Also when Mr. Fadke reach Landon, one Indian person helps him. Even when he talk to british director how he(british director) respects passion of Mr.Fadke in spite he being a Britisher and Mr.Fadke being an Indian.
These few scenes in the movie leaves a message for viewers "Agar kisi cheez ko puri shiddat se chaho, toh puri kayanaat usse aapse milvane par majboor ho jaati hai" ..... really there is no limit, no rules, no restrictions for those who are passionate about something.....
I don't love to disclose complete storyline to my readers and movie lovers so I will end this blog by suggesting this movie a must watch and guarantying that you will not regret your decision.
