Harishchandrachi Factory

My this blog entry especially goes for non Marathi viewers, as most of Marathi viewers must have already seen this movie. This is one of the finest Marathi movies I have seen.Movies like these are very rare to find. Cinematography of movie is excellent. Movie demonstrates high and lows of life of our protagonist Dadasaheb Phalke. Nandu Madhav and Vibhawari Deshapande have done a great job as Mr and Mrs Phalke. How he was devoted to his interest in Filmography. How he sacrificed his everything to chase his interest.  How his wife and children supported him in his journey.Best of the movie is that, it shows all type of emotions joy and sorrows but don't let viewers lose their interest.Even tragic events are treated with light humor but at the same time, the makers are not making fun of the topic.. Harishchandrachi Factory traces Phalke's journey to making his first film, and the hardships he faced while doing it.Some of the scenes are brilliantly directed & very sm...

Thought Diaries . . . . . .Life is a Mosaic

This weekend, we were in search for peace of mind and my friend asked me, why life always play with us like toys?                             We as humans, walk various paths in our life. We are like an artist in the epic drama of life. During our journey we hear many opinions about life, "LIFE is Tragedy", "LIFE is Frustrating", "LIFE is Exciting", "LIFE is Mystery", "LIFE is puzzle". Everyone reviews life as per his role. Somewhere people strive to stick together while families opposing them. In some other case families want couple to stick together, however couple want break up.There are many who follows "NO MONEY ! NO HONEY !!" principle. There is yet another group of few who build wonders sacrificing most of their wealth in memories of their love.                    As per roles I have portrayed here & as per those which I have observe...

Thought Diaries .....

Flow of emotions . . . . . .                  Today is 11th Nov. 2011, a date so famous that whole world has been waiting for it to come. Time is 7:30 in evening & I'm travelling to visit a friend of mine in Pune. To be honest I don't feel anything special today, except enthusiasm of people for time 11:11 (so that date with time would look something like 11-11-2011 11:11).                 I am travelling with sahyadri Express, sitting by window enjoying view of Moon running by my side. Not sure why but I always have fascination toward moon. May be I am moonstruck? Sometime I think, is this the same attraction that so called PARWANA has towards so called KSHAMA or is it different? May be it is similar to what wolf feels towards full moon hence ...

Thirst . . . . . . .only for those who can stand bloodshed

Excellent, innovative story and even better direction make this movie worth watching. However not intended to be watched with Family. SYNOPSIS : Movie story is based on vampire (Bloodthirsty creatures). However can be commented that this is just NOT ANOTHER VAMPIRE MOVIE Thirst is the story of a Priest who is stuck in the soul-crushing situation of either watching people die every day or get terribly sick. So priest decides to martyr himself by becoming a volunteer test subject for a new vaccine to cure a deadly illness; the vaccine fails and unfortunately for the Priest. After coughing up too much of bodily fluids, the Priest gets an emergency transfusion of blood, dies and then mysteriously recovers. Returning home to find himself hounded by religious fundamentalists who believe he’s the recipient of a miracle, the Priest soon discovers his inhibitions lowering, as he finds a sudden inexplicable taste for human blood (and much more :p). From this point onward movie takes an un...

The Freedom Writers . . . . . . . .for ones who stand tall

THE FREEDOM WRITERS I must admit this is one of the finest movies I have ever seen. The movie is based on book The Freedom Fighters Diary and is based upon a true story. SYNOPSIS : I think one should observe & learn how heroes live in actual life. How they do their job sincerely against all odds and how they are always passionate about their work. Erin Gruwell (a professor) was just doing her work sincerely. She never thought of being in limelight. Instead she, from bottom of heart wanted her students to study well in their lives and prosper. She asks for permission to provide good books to her class so that they could learn more and gain good knowledge. However management denies the request as students of her class are not interested in studies and they usually damage library provided books. Hence no books are allotted to her class from library and however they approve her to provide them books on her own risk with her own money.Erin was so passionate about...
